About Stacey Heaps
I was born in Sterling Illinois and moved to Florida in 1983. My interest in Interior Design was already apparent in High School where I was taking Interior Design classes.
I began my academic career while working in the Design Business as an Interior Design assistant. I gained invaluable experience from working at Robb and Stucky, Kanes of Sarasota, Norwalk Furniture, Longboat Interiors, Tidmore Henry and Associates and most importantly Deeia M. Topp Interiors. I graduated from the International Academy of Merchandising and Design with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design in 1997 and began as a Lead Designer at Sarasota's Arthur Rutenberg Design Center.
As a state licensed Interior Designer, having passed the NCIDQ licensing exam for Interior Design, I keep my knowledge current by regularly attending board certified continuing education classes. I currently live in Sarasota, with my husband of eight years, identical twin sons and two dogs.
Throughout the years I have gained a deep understanding of the balance between function and style and the way your home should make you feel. I understand the need for people to live in a beautiful space that both functions for their family and yet still looks fantastic. I pride myself on the understanding that there is no right or wrong way to decorate!
Whatever your personal idea of decorating, I will help you define your style.
